The Things We don't think about Calendars Usually
My parents
used to mark important days on the calendars in the ways we save the dates on
our mobile phones as mobile phone was not a thing those days. Obviously, the
important occasions marked on the calendar used to be some friends’ or
relatives’ birthday & marriage anniversaries or marriage, but the list also
included the days on which newspapers, milk, etc not got delivered to our
house, so that they (my parents) can have some discussions on monthly bills
with the people responsible for the deliveries.
Benefits
of having Calendars
As we all
know, calendars help us in keeping our eyes on the dates of our essential
events. It also gives us a message that when a day ends, another day starts, the same with months and years. They
just never end, they just come one after another. Do you know why they don’t end? It happens so that we can enjoy our good
day and look for more the next day if we
are having not so good days so that we
can learn from the days and wait for the good or great days in the future. So,
this is the awesome message the calendar gives us every day. It also makes us grounded so that when we get successful
in whether small or larger stuff, we can have a look at the calendar to
remember the struggles and hard work in the earlier days.
Story
of Calendars
Today we
are living a fast life with great technologies surrounding us. Everything is
getting easier from time to time. The racing cars have become faster, the
sportspersons have got quicker and we have come a long way from tests to
twenty-20.
When we
move in a fast pace, then usually we just go in the flow and get clueless about
our goal, we need to keep a check on our pace and the things we have conquered,
the things we have to finish at a particular date and for that thing we have
calendars. The calendar is a very small
thing as compared to the other things we have but usually, we don’t realize its importance and if it might not have
been that important then we might not have it in our mobile phones and
computers.
So, these
were the things, most of us don’t think about calendars.
